So, I have not been around in awhile… I am back!!!! So I started my day today with a cold shower and did a little bit of grounding!!!! Let me say, You can feel super rejuvenated even just doing one of those activities. But with both combined, Let me tell you that they make you feel Amazing, especially with some Sun while grounding!!!!
So, you ask what is grounding? Well, Grounding, also called earthing, is a therapeutic technique that involves doing activities that “ground” or electrically reconnect you to the earth. All you have to do to ground yourself is to stand outside barefoot…. Just 5-10 minutes can relieve stress and anxiety…. (2 hours even better)
Grounding can help with Chronic Fatigue, Chronic Pain, Anxiety, Depression, Sleep Disorders and many other issues and ailments!!!! The more you ground, the better! Think about it, our ancestors used to sleep outside in tents and had dirt floors back in the day and were continuously grounded. Now today, we wear something weird called shoes. We sleep upstairs mostly and are not grounded pretty much ever unless we go outside barefoot. We are constantly bombarded with WIFI signals and Cell phone towers, it is absolutely unreal.
There are grounding mats that you can buy to sleep and many people swear by them. I ordered one last night from Amazon, So I will make another post and tell you how it turned out! The practice of grounding relies on earthing science and grounding physics to explain how electrical charges from the earth can have positive effects on your body.
As for cold showers, I used to take them daily over the past year, but now I do them 3-4 times a week…. I have battled depression and anxiety for the past 30 years. I am pretty much over them, but occasionally I still have things that trigger me. I am actually working on those triggers with EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) but that is a discussion for another post! As you can see the blood comes to the surface from the water being so cold!!!
Cold water therapy is the practice of using water that’s around 59°F to treat health conditions or stimulate health benefits. It’s also known as cold hydrotherapy. The practice has been around for a couple of millennia. But recent adaptations include ice baths, brisk daily showers, outdoor swims, and cold water immersion therapy sessions.
Some of the benefits are less muscle aches, faster cooldown if you are overheated, ease depression and anxiety, boost your immune system, boost metabolism, decrease cortisol and much more…. Taking a cold shower for me really gives me more energy because the Adrenaline is giving me more energy and increases my endorphins.
These both alone make you feel Amazing. But don’t just take my word for it. Try it for yourself and you will be amazed at how much a difference it can make just doing these 2 things (For Free) Big Pharma doesn’t want you to know about these…. When you take cold showers, you can start off slowly. Use warm water and cut back to colder water… Or you can do what I did and just say the hell with it and jump in to that ice cold shower!
If I can do it, you can do it! And I started taking cold showers because of WIM Hof…. Also taking cold showers helps brown fat. Brown fat causes our bodies to burn extra calories to keep warm in the cold…. The more brown fat you have, the better. Cold showers help with that!!!!
